Another Fine Homemade Parachute Page, Crafted With Love
No picture for this one, but it looked fine, just a regular chocolate cake.
Except, it was based on this recipe for the "Irish Car Bomb" cupcakes: two 8" round chocolate Guinness cakes, sliced into two layers each, sandwiched with chocolate whiskey ganache, and finally topped with Kahlua buttercream frosting and shaved chocolate. Sadly, we missed the party itself, as Noah was sick, so we didn't even get to try it. I had made two very small samplers with leftover batter, which we consumed in between the moments of abject patheticness from upstairs. It sounded like a winner, though, except that everyone got extra drunk on it, so maybe not the best end-of-evening dessert. Or maybe it was.
